Hakim al Umma Maulana Shah Ashraf Ali Thanvi (Allah ahve mercy on him) said commenting on the verse 100 of sura an-nisa:
“A salik who dies before the completion of the sulook is equal in standing and recognition to a person who completed his sulook.”

Hakeemul Ummat Hazrat Mawlana Ashraf Ali Thanawi ra said:
“It is an established practice of Allah SWT (‘adatullah) in regards to the individual who after taking the path of ahlullah (tareeq) forsakes it, either due to laziness or by rejecting it (in principle), he is most of the times denied the tawfeeq (opportunity) of returning back to it. He remains redundant.”

Never consider any sin to be trivial.”

Instructing an individual regarding how to do zikir of “duwazdah tasbeeh”, Sayyidi wa sanadi Hazrat Mufti Mohammad Taqi Usmani sahib db said;
“It is essential to remember that soundless zikir is superior.
Audible zikir (jahari) is permissible but it is neither superior nor Sunnah nor mustaheb.
The Chishti shuyukh (Allah SWT have mercy on them) have by their experience used jahar (audible voice) and zarb (stroke by movement of head & neck and voice) in zikir as a form of treatment.
This form of zikir is swift in effectiveness, as experience has shown.
Also, the jahar and zarb leads to increased concentration and interest in zikir.”

مسیح القلوب حضرت مولانا مسیح اللہ خان صاحب رحمۃ اللہ علیہ نے فرمایا
“اس طریق میں، اللہ کے راستے میں کوئی پوچھے کہ
کیا حاصل کیا؟ کتنا حاصل کیا؟
(تو کیا جواب دو گے. پھر خود ہی فرمایا)
حاصل کرنا اس طریق میں اپنے آپ کو مٹانا ہے۔
بڑے والہانا انداز میں فرمایا
“اجی! مٹانا کیا ہے؟
پانا ہے۔
اور
پاناکیا ہے؟
مٹانا ہے۔ “

An individual told about his current misfortunes and requested for someting to recite. That is, a prayer by the barakah of which the hardships will be resolved.
Sayyidi wa sanadi Hazrat Mufti Mohammad Taqi Usmani saheb db replied;
“Dearest brother! I do not know any wazaif (litanies) to dispel hardships.
My sincere advice is to offer salatul hajjat and supplicate.
Allah SWT’s help will come by the barakah of this Sunnah method.”

Salatul hajjat: Pray two rak’at salah and recite the following dua and supplicate for your needs.
لا إِلَهَ إِلا اللَّهُ الْحَلِيمُ الْكَرِيمُ
سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
أَسْأَلُكَ مُوجِبَاتِ رَحْمَتِكَ
وَعَزَائِمَ مَغْفِرَتِكَ
وَالْغَنِيمَةَ مِنْ كُلِّ بِرٍّ وَالسَّلامَةَ مِنْ كُلِّ إِثْم
لا تَدَعْ لِي ذَنْبًا إِلا غَفَرْتَهُ وَلا هَمًّا إِلا فَرَّجْتَهُ
حَاجَةً هِيَ لَكَ رِضًا إِلا قَضَيْتَهَا يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمي
There no god but Allah the Gentle and Generous.
Glory is to Allah, Lord of the Tremendous Throne.
All praise is to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
I ask you (O Allah) everything that leads to your mercy,
and your tremendous forgiveness,
enrichment in all good and freedom from all sin.
Do not leave a sin of mine (O Allah), except that you forgive it,
nor any apprehension except that you create for it an opening,
nor any need in which there is your good pleasure except that you fulfill it,
O Most Merciful!”
Maseehul Quloob Hazrat Mawlana Maseehullah Khan sahib ra advised:
“For a salik it is most appropriate to renew the ikhlas (sincerity) before each and every action.”

A young Islamic finance professional inquired that the engrossment in his business work sometimes makes him think that if this the ‘dunya’ (worldly involvement) that has been despised in Quran and hadith.
Sayyidi wa sanadi Hazrat Mufti Mohammad Taqi Usmani sahib db replied;
“Our worldly involvement can not be the despised ‘dunya’ if two criteria are met;
Firstly, the intention must be correct. That is, for example to earn a lawful living, or facilitate work/life for others, etc.
Secondly, the method used to carry it out must be right. That is, it must not be not against the teachings of Shariah.
If these two things are met then this business and worldly involvement is pure deen (religion).”

This site has the largest collection of Sayyidi wa sanadi Hazrat Mufti Taqi Usmani sahib db’s bayanat (discourses). All are in Urdu.
These lectures are an essential hearing for all those affiliated with Sayyidi wa sanadi db, as it has been mentioned in the book, “Dastoorul amal baraay talibeen e islah“. Especially, for those abroad who can not attented these lectures in person.

Maseehul-quloob, Hazrat Mawlana Maseehullah Khan sahib ra said in regards to the importance of being in contact with the Sheikh on regular basis:
“Delay in writing letters (i.e. informing one’s condition) to the Sheikh gradually leads to decreasing munsabet (receptiveness to the instructions given) with him.”
