Hakeemul Ummat’s waseeyat # 9

9. Do not attach your heart with the world and the worldly, as much as possible.

Never ever be forgetful of the the here-after (akhira).

Live always in such a state that if you were to die at this moment, you do not have any worries for those desires.

لو لا اخرتنى الى اجل قريب فاصدق و اكن من الصالحين

Always consider that this might be the time for me to return (die).

Perpetually ask forgiveness for the sins committed during the day before nightfall and for those committed during the night before dawn.

Fulfill the rights of others (huqooq ul ‘abad) to the best of your ability.

Hakeemul Ummat ra’s waseeyat # 8

8. I request all those affiliated to me that they routinely recite surah Yaseen (chapter 36, once) or surah Ikhlas (chapter 112) three times everyday and forward its thawab (reward) to me.

However, anything that is against Sunnah and is an innovation (bidah) should not be done either by common or select individuals.”

Hazrat Thanawi ra’s Mazar

Arif billah Hazrat Dr. Abdul Hayy Arifi ra describes:

“As you exit the Thana Bhawan railway station there are agricultural farms in front. On right side there is an orchard. It has some trees few of them are mango and rest other types. A boundary wall has enclosed the orchard. It is known as ‘takiya’. It is reserved as a graveyard

On entering the ‘takiya’ form its main gate after around 10 to 15 footsteps besides the boundary wall on rightside there is a pukhta (cement/brick) raised platform. On it a pukhta dalan (patio) is constructed.

In front of this platform below (on the ground) at a short distance is Hazrat ra‘s mazar. The grave is of mud (kachi). The ground around is also of mud. There is no stone etc. marking it.”

Hajj: Composite mujahida

An individual requested intructions while proceeding for hajj.

Hazrat Mansoor Ali Khan sahib db (senior mureed of Hazrat Arifi ra & khalifa of Hazrat Shah Abrarul Haqq ra) replied;

“In this regards I heard form Hazrat Mufti Mohammad Shafii ra, that hajj is an amalgam of all the mujahidat (spiritual struggles). Especially the four famous mujahidat the sufiya describe; taqleel e kalam (talking less, by not arguing & being busy with Allah SWT’s remembrance), taqleel manam (sleeping less, with the travelling and change of schedule), taqleel ikhtelat ma’alanam (decreasing interaction with others by being busy with one’s Lord SWT) and taqleel ta’am (eating less, by changing schedule, less variety etc.).

If done properly with these mujahidat, hajj has immense spiritual benefits in one’s islah (reformation). Similar to it can not be achieved with years of hard struggles.

(So be aware and act accordingly).”

Hakeemul Ummat ra’s waseeyat #5

5.To seekers of knowledge I advise that they should not become arrogant merely by being involved in learning and teaching activities.

Acquiring true benefit of these activities is dependent on providing service to, keeping company with and receiving special attention of the pious (ahlul-Allah).

Special effort should be adopted to do this with precision (i.e. being with ahlul-Allah).

(Persian verse):

Without benevolence of Haqq or those dear to Haqq, (even)
If you were to become an angel, your profile will remain black.

Hakeemul Ummat ra’s waseeyat #4

“4. I say to my friends especially and all other Muslims in general, with utmost emphasis that acquiring religious knowledge and teaching it to one’s children is an absolute personal obligation (farez e ‘ayin).

It may be done by (learning from) books or by association (suhba, with the pious). Without this (essential knowledge) it is impossible to be saved from religious calamities (fitin), which are abundant these days,

Do not be negligent and lazy in this at all.”

Hakeemul Ummat ra’s waseeyat #3

“3. Mistakes of this category (#2) that may have been committed against me by others, I forgive them with good grace for all past and future instances, solely to please Allah SWT and expecting forgiveness for my own short comings.”

Hakeemul Ummat ra’s waseeyat #2

2. Some fellow servants of Allah SWT have been hurt by me verbally of physically, either in their presence or absence because of my unhealthy morals (ikhlaq). And some of their rights have been evaded. They might be aware or unaware of these.

I appeal to all, young and old, with extreme humility, to forgive me for the sake of Allah SWT.

I also pray that Allah SWT forgives them and gives serenity to them in both the worlds (here and here-after).

Forgiving the one who appologizes has been highly appreciated (in Quran & Hadith).
